Mandy (Barnett) Dobney and Michael Dobney are experienced musicians and songwriters with international careers.
Mandy began singing professionally at 15 in Coffs Harbour/Grafton and later toured across Asia and Europe, spending eight years performing in Japan. She recorded with Mickey Graham (Boyzone) in London and won the UK’s Hottest Unsigned Band competition in 2001 with the song Big Trip. Now back in Australia, she performs with her husband Michael in their duo Who’s Charlie.
Michael is a classically trained pianist with experience in jazz, theatre, and MC hosting. He held a three-year residency at Brisbane’s Treasury Casino before spending eight years performing at Hilton and Sheraton Hotels in Japan. As the producer of Who’s Charlie‘s backing tracks, he blends his unique piano and vocal style to create a high-quality musical experience.
